There are quite a few things that CAGD does that are outside of the scope for a short guide like this. The "Locations" (or room bookings) is one of those things, as is the complexities of the Timetable -- especially as it is going through a bit of an overhaul at the moment.

Some things, like the API (Application Programming Interface), are things that if you are curious about it is well worth asking me when I have a few minutes free. For example, the API means that anyone with programming experience can write things that interact with CAGD, in ways that don't have to go through the main cagd.co.uk website.

It is also worth asking about the template codes for publishing websites from portfolios, as I Have them as a PDF that might be useful.

One thing that I haven't really gone into much detail about in this guide is the front page of CAGD itself -- the "Recent Activity" list and the "Notices". The Notices are there so that everyone can make short little posts without having to go through a member of staff. The length of each post is a maximum of 512 characters.

The 'recent activity' is something that is in a bit of a development stage. My intention ultimately is to present the front page as an 'agenda' for each day, incorporating things that each person needs to read and do, and some information about upcoming events and deadlines. But it's very much in a work-in-progress stage at the moment.

Getting Help and Further Information

One of my biggest regrets when it comes to the launch of version 4 of CAGD is that I didn't have time to write this guide before it launched, and so there are quite a few confusions around what things have changed. The "Documentation" link is glaringly empty, and it's not always obvious where to turn for help.
