The Community Page

The Community Page, accessible from the "Community" link in the Main Menu, displays different thing for different people, depending on what communities you're part of. You will always have one 'default' community, and CAGD will attempt to load that first for you.

In the main Community Column, you'll see a list of the main groups that you belong to, and also the hierarchy above them. My list, for example, drops me straight into Graphic Arts and Design, which is inside the School of Art, Architecture and Design, which in turn is inside Leeds Beckett University.

The idea for this is to take you straight to your 'Home', but also show you where that Home is located in relation to the wider academic community.

You can navigate to areas outside of your home by clicking up the hierarchy, and then drilling down into specific areas. If I want to visit Fine Art (for example) I would click up to 'Undergraduate' (which is a group that contains all of the undergraduate courses in our School) and then down into Fine Art. If I wanted to visit the MA Art and Design, I would click all the way up to the School, then drill down through the Postgraduate groups, and then into the MA Art and Design.

At the bottom of the Community Column is a link to load a flat list of all of the groups that you are a member of.
